Exemplar courage, curiosity and integrity

Captain Dave Henson MBE is an inspiration and he was a big hit with our students. He focused on our key values and linked these to his personal journey over the last 6 years since he became a double amputee.

Dave was injured in Afghanistan and he has shown great courage, curiosity and integrity in the way he has faced the challenges caused by losing both his legs. He has not only learnt to walk and run again, but has competed in the Invictus Games for wounded veterans. In 2016 Dave also won Olympic Bronze in the Paralympic games for Great Britain.

His story was one for our students to emulate; to persevere through adversity and to refine their practice to be the very best they can be. If the queue for autographs was anything to go by, he was a massive hit!
