The Twyford CofE Academies Trust was formed in October 2011 to allow the existing Twyford CofE High School to build upon its strengths and develop beyond a single school.
Affiliated to the London Diocesan Board for Schools, Twyford has set up a multi-academy Trust. Schools within the Trust share the same ethos which we call the 10:10 Ethic - based on the Gospel of John chapter 10 verse 10 - 'I have come that you might have life and have it to the full'. But each school also has a distinctive character of its own and we will work to ensure that this ethic embraces all of our students, whatever their faith or background.
The Trust's second school, William Perkin CofE High School received permission to open as a Free School and opened in September 2013, with its first intake of Year 7 students. William Perkin has its own unique identity and, on a day-to-day level, is run by the Associate Headteacher Keir Smith. However, both schools are under the ultimate authority of a Board of Directors whose job it is to ensure that the vision and values of the Trust are lived up to at each school.
In September 2017, Ealing Fields High School became part of the Twyford CofE Academies Trust.
The Trust's fourth school, which will be called the Ada Lovelace Church of England High School has received permission to open as a Free School and has a revised opening date of September 2018.
