Ealing Fields Summer Festival
Ealing Fields Summer Festival 2018
A big thank you to all those who came to the 2nd edition of the Ealing Fields Summer Festival on Saturday 23rd June.
A great day of fun, food, games and entertainments was had by all. The students eagerly took part in the day’s activities including the very popular Mario Kart Challenge and Nerf Gun Shooting Range. At one point in the afternoon Mr Woodham rather sportingly made himself the target for the Nerf Gun game (with safety goggles of course) and long queue of students promptly formed to take their shot!
The BBQ, bar and Refreshments stalls were busy all afternoon as everyone enjoyed a fabulous and relaxing afternoon in the summer sunshine.
There was a great programme of entertainments on offer during the afternoon including a drama workshop from Your Stage Drama, wonderful singing from our excellent guest vocalist Sharnae Wilson, a rousing performance by the Ealing Fields Student Choir and the festival closed with another set of rock n’ roll covers from the ‘dads band’ Primary Scream, with Ealing Fields students Grace & Seb making guest appearances on vocals for various songs.
Once the day time activities came to an end the campsite opened for those staying overnight and the tents were set up before the highlight of evening took place in the form of the Grand Student Water Battle. Once again Mr Woodham decided to join in and soon became the games most high value target as students took great pleasure in soaking him from head to foot!
After drying off the students settled down to watch a movie in the hall over dinner before we all retired to our tents as night time fell. The next morning saw us have a leisurely breakfast on the school field in glorious sunshine before we packed up our tents and headed home at the end of another wonderful Ealing Fields Summer Festival.
