Last week, Year 10 participated in a workshop delivered by IBM. The workshop focussed on Professional Skills and highlighted the importance of presenting skills/nonverbal communication skills to get them one step ahead of their peers. They learnt how to be aware of their body language, posture, eye contact, voice, appearance and facial expressions. This interactive session asked our Year 10s to consider examples of when nonverbal communication might be important to consider, for example, when delivering a presentation to ensure clarity and engagement with the audience.
They also started to work with SkillsBuild, IBM's online learning platform.
The workshop was well received by our students and we are very grateful to IBM and all of the volunteers who came to deliver such an impactful workshop. Thank you IBM.
